Chemical Society, Undergraduate
Name: Chemical Society
Previous/other names: Chemistry Society
Prominent date(s) of activity: 1942 - present
History: The Chemical Society was organized by Dr. Frank J. Toole to give Chemistry undergraduates some experience in addressing audiences - a skill that he found lacking in many of his students.
'Activities': Members drew the names of prominent chemists, whose biographies they would present at a later date. The society also offered students the opportunity to liason with their professors, and have some say in which chemistry courses were offered at UNB.
Over the years the Chemical Society has been very socially active, and has participated in a variety of sporting events.
