History: While advocates of the popular parties were already active on campus, the Political Club was formed by a group of students of varying political beliefs interested in promoting political education and student involvement in politics.

Activities: In its first year the Political Club assumed administrative responsibilities for the Model Parliament, organizing three sessions during the Spring Semester.

Note(s): Talk of founding a political club emerged in the winter of 1946.
