History: The Winter Carnival Committee was formed to organize the first Winter Carnival in the fall of 1955.
Activities: The Committee held weekly meetings beginning at the start of the fall term until the hosting of the Winter Carnival. The Committee was divided into a number of sub-committees charged with the management of the essential aspects of the Carnival, including Publicity, Sculptures, Parade, Prizes, Queen, Athletics, Social, Tickets, and Accommodation.
