Event/Occasion/Significance: The plaque, in memory of the former Deputy Minister of Lands and Mines for New Brunswick, was presented at the alumni dinner.

Plaque Inscription/Text Associated: In loving memory of Gilbert Hunt Prince, I.S.O, M.Sc.F.,D.Sc.: June 9, 1888- November 2, 1952 Distinguished alumnus and member of Senate of this university A graduate in Forestry of the class of 1912 Deputy Minister N.B Debt. Lands and Mines:1924-1952 Erected by his family: 1961

Notes: The plaque was received by Dr. J. Miles Gibson, former Dean of Forestry, and UNB president Dr. Mckay at the alumni dinner. The memorial was presented by Prince's sister, Miss M. Caroline Prince.
