In conjunction with the [[Student Union]], a travel package was arranged for interested fans that included return transportation, tickets to the event, and entry to a concert taking place after the game. Four buses carried 200 students to the event, who, at the game, demonstrated a level of school spirit that impressed the UNB athletic department.
