Gerard Beirne was the University of New Brunswick's writer-in-residence for the 2008-2009 school year and then again during the 2015 Winter term.
In 2008, Beirne was proceeded by Patricia_Young, and succeeded by Fred_Stenson in 2009. For his second bout as UNB's writer-in-residence in 2015, Beirne succeeded Jeramy_Dodds, and after him the title was given to Naomi_Lewis.
