History: The Virginia Woolf Society was affiliated with the Department of Women's Studies. The initial planning session for the society took place on Novermber 13, 1989.

Activities: The group held discussions on women's issues, and sponsored guest lectures and film viewings on relevant topics, such as sexual harrassment, and aquaintance rape. Sicial parties were also held.
