Significance: 

Summary of event: An elaborate luncheon took place at the Lady Beaverbrook Residence in honour of the Royal couple.

Notes: The Royal standard was flown atop the residence flagpole on the occasion, instilling the historic significance on the fixture that led to the flagpole incident a year later.

It was reported the King ate heartily but the Queen did not eat dessert.
