Notes: Robert H. Cockburn, chairman of UNB's English Department, addressed the guests, and English Professor Fred Cogswell also spoke at the event. UNB historian and philosopher Alfred G. Bailey read Bliss Carman's poem of the Scarlet Maple.
The plaque bearing includes a sculpted likeness of Bliss Carman and an inscription that celebrates UNB's 150th Encaenia.
