History: The Education Society was organized in 1935, when Dr. Wilfred Currier Keirstead recognized that certain topics of interest to Education students were not being addressed by the program curriculum. Bachelor of Education Degrees were offered at UNB for the first time in 1950, with Professor R. J. Love acting as Education Professor and Head of the Department of Education.
