Jeramy Dodds
Jeramy Dodds was UNB’s 34th writer-in-residence for the 2014-2015 academic year. Dodds is a poet, translator, editor, and research archeologist, with a Masters degree in Medieval Icelandic Studies and an undergraduate degree in Literature and Anthropology. His poems have been translated into many languages, including Latvian, Hungarian, Finnish, French, Swedish, Icelandic, and German. He was awarded the Bronwen Wallace Memorial Award for young writers in 2006, and the CBC Literary Award in 2007.He had previously been writer-in-residence at the Berton House in Dawson City from April to June 2010. Dodds gave a poetry workshop in UNBSJ on March 19. He also gave a reading on September 18 at Memorial Hall.
Jeramy Dodds was the writer-in-residence after Douglas Glover finished with the postion in 2014, and was succeeded by Gerard Beirne in 2015.
