Sue Sinclair was UNB’s 32nd writer-in-residence for the 2011-2012 academic year. Sinclair grew up in St. John's, Newfoundland, but has also lived in Toronto and New York City (before her current stint living in Fredericton). She gave a reading from her poetry collection Breaker in the Faculty Staff Club at UNBSJ.

Sue Sinclair currently works with UNB teaching in their English Department, and is co-director of creative writing, alongside Ross Leckie.

Sinclair took over from John Barton, and was succeeded by Joan Clark.
