Nancy Bauer was UNB’s ninth writer-in-residence for the 1989-1990 academic year. Before beginning as writer-in-residence, Bauer often attended informal discussions on writing at the Ice House, and was one of the founders of the Maritime Writers’ Workshop. Bauer also participated in the Writer in Schools program in New Brunswick, where local writers would talk to students about creative writing.
