The Sports Day at UNB was held in 1879. In 1882 it is mentioned that the Sports Day is held annually in May but was held in the fall in 1891 and did not work as well. There was a call in 1893 to fix the terrace on which Sports Day was held, or it should be moved to another location. In 1893 it was announced a Freshman Prize was to be awarded again, and "Female Students not excepted."
