Previous/other names: UNB/STU Rebels

Prominent date(s) of activity: 1985 - present

History: The UNBSTU Women's Rugby Club, initially coached by Kim Bursey, played their first game in October 1985. Because the team operated as a student club rather than a sports team, each member was required to pay a $15 membership fee, which covered the costs of transportation, equipment, and advertising.

Activities: The club competes against other rugby clubs around the Maritimes.

Note(s): In 2009 the Women's Rugby team competed in prom dresses to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The fund-raising total for the event was $500.
