<p>Date(s) of occurrence: 1961- present Previous/other names: UNB Rebels, Red Rompers, Red Spikers, Varsity Reds History: Volleyball was introduced to the UNB campus in 1961, with both a men and women&rsquo;s team competing. The men&rsquo;s team was called the Red Spikers, and the women were known as the Red Rompers. In 1972 the men&rsquo;s team name changed to the Red Rebels.There are currently both a Men&#39;s and Women&#39;s Varsity Reds Volleyball teams on the UNB Fredericton Campus.
