Significance: Presentation to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother of the UNB president and descendents of Fathers of Confederation during the 1967 Centennial Year celebrations.

Summary of event: A presentation by Lieutenant-Govenor John B. McNair to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother of UNB president Dr. Colin B Mackay and descendants of the Fathers of Confederation took place at Lady Dunn Hall. A luncheon provided by the Province of New Brunswick followed at which Premier Louis J. Robichaud presented Her Majesty with a gift from the province. The visit on campus ended at 2:30 with a departure for Odell Park.

Notes: After visits to Odell Park and Camp Gagetown, Her Majesty returned to Saint John where the HMY Britannia was berthed. The next day a visit to St. Andrews and Campobello Island was planned.
