Name: Overseas Chinese Student Association (OCSA)

History: Open to all students interested in Chinese culture, OCSA was organized to foster unity and friendship between Chinese and Canadian students, to assist Chinese students arriving in Canada, and to promote the interests of overseas Chinese students within the university and surrounding community.

'Activities': Each year the association hosts a welcome party, a mid-autumn festival, a Chinese New Year banquet, a graduation party, a variety of sports activities, guest lectures, and film viewings. The annual Chinese New Year Banquet includes dinner, traditional dances, poetry readings, performances, and an evening of dancing.

In 1988 the group published their first magazine, Grapevine.

Note(s): The Oversees Chinese Student Association, representing one of the largest populations of oversees students at UNB, issued regular broadcasts from the campus radio station (CHSR-FM) in Cantonese.
