History: The Education Society was organized in 1935, when Dr. Wilfred Currier Keirstead recognized that certain topics of interest to Education students were not being addressed by the program curriculum. He believed that this information could be supplemented through guest lectures by educational leaders, teachers, and persons with special training in relevant fields.
