Activities/Contributions: In 2014, Dr. Shaw volunteered to lead the Academic Council, an ad hoc group of faculty (mostly initialy composed of department chairs).  The Council was formed to lobby UNB Administration to reinvest in the academics of the University by hiring more faculty.

Notes:  An article on Dr. Shaw's research on volcanoes in Germany was published in the Daily Gleaner, January 5, 2013, p.C10.
