History: The Campus Police is a student-only organization which was established for the enforcement of regulations set out by the Student Disciplinary Code and the New Brunswick Liquor Control Act. The Campus Police report infringements to the Student Disciplinary Committee, who hold hearings and apply sanctions.

'Activities': The Campus Police are hired out to maintain crowd control at a variety of events on and off campus, for which they must enforce the regulations set forth by the organizers.

Note(s): In order to join the Campus Police, a student is required to: be 19 years of age or older, enjoy working with a team, have a good academic standing, and possess a valid Standard First Aid/CPR certificate.

In 2001 the Managing Editor of The Brunswickan, Patryk Reid, described the average Campus Police officer as being equipped with "little more than street-smarts, a middle-aged body, walkie-talkie, and a green uniform." He suggested that the Campus Police would be much more effective, and better equipped to deal with parking and drug violators if they were given horses: "A horse makes a person three times taller, lets her see five times as far, and move ten times as fast... Moreover, a CP on horseback would look bigger and tougher... (and could) catch any running person, and even catch cars by short-cut."
