History: In the fall of 1946, students interested in photography formed the UNB Camera Club in the hopes of obtaining a darkroom and photography studio on campus. A space was alotted, but the members were tasked with assembling the rooms themselves.

Activities: The group hosted lectures on photographic and darkroom techniques, presented their own works to each other, and exibited the exceptional pieces in a downtown store window.

Note(s): Dr. D. Macleod gave a lecture on colour photography to the Camera Club in their founding year.
