Activities/Contributions: Keirstead was Dow professor of political economy and chairman of the department at McGill University, visiting professor in economics at the University of Arizona, and professor of political economy at the University of Toronto.

Notes: Acclaimed as one of Canada's leading economists and was a member of the board of editors of the Canadian Journal of Economics and Political Science and the Royal Economics Society and Political Science Association.

Keirstead attended Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.

Died on Saturday, May 5, 1973 at the age of 65.
