Anne Michaels was the University of New Brunswick's writer-in-residence for the 1995-1996 school year. She was born in Toronto, Ontario, on April 15<sup>th</sup> 1958. She recieved her B.A. at the University of Toronto, and is occasionally still affiliated with the University of Toronto as a creative writing teacher.
